Enterobasila

The bacterial flora of the intestines constitutes a defensive barrier against harmful bacteria. Its balance can be upset by intestinal infections, use of antibiotics, intoxications, food disorders, unbalanced diet etc.

The symptoms of this imbalance are usually diarrhea, abdominal pain and excess air in the intestines. Probiotics are basically preparations or products containing microorganisms that can colonize the host altering its microflora and exerting beneficial health effects to the host.

ENTEROBASILA is an oral probiotic suspension containing 2 billion spores of polyantibiotic resistant Bacillus clausii. (Polyantibiotic resistant means resistance to a certain number of antibiotics). This is an extremely important characteristic of ENTEROBASILA that allows it to be administered during antibiotic treatment.

USES AND DOSAGE

Acute diarrhea

•  Oral administration of 2 Billion spores of Bacillus clausii (1 vial of Enterobasila) 2 to 3 times a day for 10 days significantly improved duration of diarrhea, frequency, abdominal pain, and improved stool consistency.
  Additionally, stool analysis revealed the absence of previously documented fat, resolution of mild mucus and absence of red and white blood cells.

Antibiotic-associated diarrhea(H. pylori treatment-induced adverse effects)

• Co-administering 1 vial of Enterobasila 3 times daily with the H. pylori treatment and for 7 days improved tolerability and drastically reduced the occurrence of nausea and diarrhea associated with this therapy.
